Two ways to create a Template

Create Template

Build the Template from scratch using the same form you use for live documents, then give it a Template name.

Create from Existing

Use an existing Quote, Invoice or RAMS as the starting point, then adjust it before saving it as a Template.

Creating a document from a Template

Using a Template does not immediately create a finished document. Instead:

  1. Step 1

    Choose a Template

  2. Step 2

    Open the editable Quote, Invoice or RAMS form

  3. Step 3

    Choose client and job details

  4. Step 4

    Edit anything you need to change

  5. Step 5

    Create the document

Templates stay independent

Templates remain separate from the documents created from them. Editing a new document does not change the Template, and editing a Template later does not change previously created documents.

What can I create a Template from?

Does using a Template create a finished document straight away?
No. Using a Template opens an editable Quote, Invoice or RAMS form. You choose the client and job details and edit anything before creating the document.
Does editing a document change the Template?
No. Templates stay separate from the documents created from them, so editing a document leaves the Template unchanged.
Does editing a Template change documents I already created?
No. Documents created earlier are not changed when the Template is edited later.
