Handle extra work clearly

When work changes after a Project has started, Boksit lets you create an Additional Work request and keep it linked to the Project.

Additional Work statuses

  • Draft
  • Sent for approval
  • Viewed
  • Approved online
  • Approved verbally
  • Approved by email or message
  • Declined

Only approved work should affect approved Project totals. Work that is still pending is kept separate so the Project figures stay reliable.

Client approval

Clients can receive a secure link to review an Additional Work request and approve or sign it online. The business can also record approvals received outside Boksit, such as a verbal agreement on site or confirmation by email, where supported.

Additional Works and the Project Report

Approved Additional Works can be reflected in the Project Report and revised Project totals. Pending or unapproved work is not described as approved anywhere the client sees.
